The New Edener

I’ve had this stored away in an obscure folder on my desktop for a few weeks now, and I just now re-stumbled upon it (sorry).  This new version was created by one of our readers, Chainer Cygnus.

Although I had to snip a few of the less important features, the next version of our ore calculator sheet is now available, features & links below.

• Web integration - Sheet will pull information directly from mineral resource indexes.
• Skill integration - The sheet will now accept skill input and automatically calculate your new yield.
• Variables - The sheet will now accommodate a variety of variables, including the efficiency of a facility and the tax rate.
• Stats - A new box as been added that will show you a number of things:
  • True Yield (Hold <ore> Processing)
  • Perfect Yield Deviation
• Revamped Interface - The interface is now stupidly easy to understand, all the input areas are on one sheet, you can no longer break the sheet!

Being rather unsatisfied with the lack of features on the initial version of this sheet, I’ve put the second revision of the sheet on the fast track. Features below!

I’m really aiming for 100% ease of use here. I’ve looked at a number of other sheets and they all appear to be overly complicated, this sheet is not like the rest. Everything is simple, nothing terribly fancy. Its lite, its easy to use.

I would expect to see this sheet finished mid-late week, probably around Thursday or Friday.

Surprisingly, as promised, the first version of the New Edener’s new Ore Calculator is finished. See below for downloads and features:

Yeah…only two for now, more features are in the works for the next version, I promise!

• This sheet will allow you to input any number of ore types, including the +5% and +10% varieties. It will then total up the amount of minerals you would receive from the amount of ore you have input. You can see an individual breakdown of mineral types and amounts for each ore type, as well as an overall sum of all the minerals you would receive for refining a large number of ore.
• The sheet will also use market standard prices to give you a ballpark estimate for how much all those precious minerals are worth.
